The Reiki Healing Center of NJ is an approved continuing education provider with the American Holistic Nurses Association (AHNA).

All types of RNs and LPNs can receive continuing education credits. You do not need to be a holistic nurse.


Reiki-Level 1-Shoden (Course #1950)-20.5 CE contact hours

Reiki Level 2-Okuden (Course #1951)-15.25 CE contact hours

 

Reiki-Level 1-Shoden

Course Description

The Reiki Level 1-Shoden course will teach the Nurse how to perform and incorporate Reiki into their self-care practice in order to maximize healing and reduce job-related stress and burnout. The course includes a combination of lecture, class discussion, participation in self-care practices, 3 Reiki attunements and hands-on Reiki practice. The Nurse will become trained and attuned in Reiki Level I-Shoden.

The program aims to provide:

  • An exploration of the Nurse’s self-care needs and obstacles and how to incorporate Reiki into the Nurse’s self-care practices

  • An attainable set of self-care practices that incorporate Reiki into your daily self-care practices to improve your overall mental and physical health resulting in decreased burnout symptoms and increased ability to effectively care for nursing patients

  • A set of self-care practices incorporating Reiki that can be utilized to reduce symptoms of burnout and stress

 

Learning Outcomes

Nurses taking this course will be able to:

  • Identify at least one mental or physical health issue that is affecting their work as a Nurse.

  • Identify how Reiki techniques can be utilized for self-care to reduce symptoms of burnout

  • Demonstrate and practice utilizing the Reiki techniques learned in class under the observation of the teacher. The teacher will evaluate the student’s understanding and correct use of the techniques. Students will demonstrate 90% or higher in the performance of the Reiki techniques.

 

Completion Requirements

  • Learners must attend and participate in 100% of the activity

  • Participation in practice with Instructor feedback

  • Completion/submission of evaluation form

  • Successful completion of a post-test with score of 80% or higher

 

Continuing Education Contact Hours

20.5 CE contact hours: 1 contact hour = 1 hour (60 minutes) of instructional time

Reiki-Level 2-Okuden

Course Description

The Reiki Level 2-Okuden course will teach the Nurse how to perform and incorporate advanced Reiki techniques into their self-care practice in order to maximize healing and reduce job-related stress and burnout. The course includes a combination of lecture, class discussion, participation in self-care practices, 2 Reiki attunements and hands-on Reiki practice. The Nurse will become trained and attuned in Reiki-Level 2-Okuden.

The program aims to provide:

  • A deeper exploration of the Nurse’s self-care needs and obstacles and how to incorporate advanced Reiki techniques into the Nurse’s self-care practices.

  • An advanced set of Reiki self-care practices to address unwanted emotional patterns and habits to improve the Nurse’s overall mental and physical health resulting in increased clinical effectiveness and reduced symptoms of stress and burnout.

 

Learning Objectives

Nurses taking this course will be able to:

  • Identify at least one mental health issue or emotional pattern that is affecting their work as a Nurse.

  • Identify how advanced Reiki techniques can be utilized for self-care to reduce symptoms of burnout

  • Demonstrate and practice utilizing the Reiki techniques learned in class under the observation of the teacher. The teacher will evaluate the student’s understanding and correct use of the techniques. Students will demonstrate 90% or higher in the performance of the Reiki techniques.
